BANKS BAZOLI DENIES IOR PRESIDENCY RUMOURS

(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 26 - Giovanni Bazoli, president of the surveillance council at Intesa SanPaolo, has denied rumours in the press that name him as a possible successor to Angelo Caloia as president of the IOR, the Vatican bank.

''It is something which is neither in heaven nor on earth'' said Bazoli as he left the headquarters of Mittel at the end of the board of governors' meeting.
